EAW is a company with a long tradition, founded in 1919. was founded by Ernst Apel Senior and is still the world's oldest operating holder manufacturer. After the Second World War, the company began to produce mounts for optical sights and their accessories and changed its name from ERNST APEL to EAW (Ernst Apel Würzburg).
